Full Day Camp The Best Camp Ever!
|
Monday-Thursday 8am - 3pm July 26th-29th This is the last camp for the summer and has limited spots available. First come first serve with the deposit.
|
$350 per camper per session
A $75 deposit is required to guarantee a spot.
The deposit for this session is more than half day
camp because we pre-buy all of the supplies.
Campers can change into shorts and tennis shoes as long as
we don't do any activities involving the horses. Keep in mind
some of the projects may include getting messy so don't
wear any clothes that can't get dirty!
A handbook, all craft supplies, lunch, snack
and plenty of water is included in the all day
camp.
Riding:
Campers will ride a minimum of two times each day. They ride bareback,
English, Western. Campers will also learn the basics of vaulting and
horse showing. On Western day they will learn barrel racing and pole
bending. On the day they learn trail etiquette (trail riding) we will have a
cook out with hot dogs and s'mores. On the last day parents, family and
friends are invited for the last hour of camp to watch our "horse show".
Campers will receive ribbons at our horse show!
Hands on Education:
Campers will learn haltering, leading, grooming, saddling, both English
and Western saddles. They will learn how to bathe a horse and learn
about the proper grooming techniques for show horses, including
shaving mane pulling and wrapping the tail.
Class Room Education:
In our new class room we will teach breeds, colors, markings, skeletal
system, different riding styles including trick riding and mounted shooting.
Campers will learn about different types of feed, housing, and
medications horses need to help them live a long healthy life.
Fun Stuff:
Each day we will do a really fun craft. We will be doing leather stamping,
making bracelets, book marks, and a special drinking bottle with a leather
decoration. Everyone like to do lanyards and we have lots of colored
lanyard string for making bracelets and key chains.
Each day we will have a snack break at 10am and at noon we will take a
lunch break. Our lunches will be great fun. The day we trail ride we will
have a cook out with hot dogs and s'mores. We will have pizza and pop
corn on day we watch a horse movie. My favorite lunch is when we'll
have sandwiches and a ice cream Sunday bar.

Our new classroom. With an
air conditioner and heater.
Notice the HUGE projector
board on the wall. This
makes everything life size.
This past summer the campers enjoyed the leather crafting.
Nice hair Amanda. Now can
you do that while he's walking?
Blue helped teach the
campers about the basics of
vaulting.
Amanda demonstrated the half flag
with proper weight distribution.
